Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations, assist pharmacists, register patients, enter prescriptions, and help maintain accurate records. This role focuses on efficient workflow, accurate data entry, and delivering a positive patient experience.

You will lead and train pharmacy technicians, manage inventories, improve workflow, deliver patient experiences, and uphold company policies and quality standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English and able to communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities under supervision, including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients, count, and verify as allowed by law.
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings, and related services where permitted.
• Lead and coach pharmacy technicians, manage scheduling, and drive performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and Good Faith Dispensing practices.
