Job summary

Walgreens in the United States (North Carolina region) seeks a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support daily non-clinical pharmacy operations and deliver a positive patient experience. You will work under a pharmacist and supervise pharmacy technicians, contributing to efficient workflow and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities include prescription data entry, patient registration, medication preparation, and supporting vaccine administration where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Under supervision of a pharmacist, supervise and train pharmacy technicians and cashiers within company policies and legal guidelines.
• Ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Leads performance management of technicians and assists with recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling.
