Job summary

Walgreens in Indianola, IA is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under a pharmacist's supervision. You will help with patient registration, data entry, and preparation of medications while upholding company policies and regulatory requirements.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, coordinate daily pharmacy activities, and assist with vaccine administration and health services where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities.
• Supports pharmacist in patient registration, data entry, preparation of medications, and calls.
• Leads training, coaching and performance management of technicians.
• Manages scheduling, inventory, and compliance with laws and policies.
• Drives pharmacy workflow, reports, and documentation with accountability.
• Maintains asset protection and security compliance.
