Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical operations under pharmacist supervision. You will handle prescription data entry, patient registration, and assist with vaccination and health service offerings where allowed by law.

Keys: maintain inventory, ensure accurate insurance processing, train and coach technicians, and uphold company policies and Good Faith Dispensing standards while delivering a positive patient experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification.
• Handle patient and physician calls under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Under supervision, assist with vaccines, health screenings, and health services allowed by law.
• Delegate and manage non-clinical work to technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain records, inventory, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
