Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a pharmacy manager to lead a team of pharmacists and associates. You will ensure accurate prescription processing, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient counseling in a collaborative store setting.

You will drive immunization programs, manage inventories, and align department metrics with company goals. The role emphasizes staff development, security, and exceptional customer service within Weis Markets stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) or Pharm.D. in Pharmacy.
• Immunization certification from a recognized organization (e.g., APhA).
• Retail pharmacy experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain collaborative relationship with store operations and drive associate engagement.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of prescriptions per Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Grow script volume through immunization programs and MTM where available.
• Align department objectives with seven key metrics and provide excellent healthcare counseling.
• Supervise pharmacists, staff, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Maintain pharmacy department security and resolve customer issues.
• Interact with physicians to obtain information and resolve prescription issues.
• Keep the department clean and develop staff through training and development.
• Prioritize tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls.
