Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Coordinator in Portland, OR. The role supports hospital pharmacy staff and clinic liaisons to integrate and optimize specialty pharmacy workflows, ensuring accurate and timely medication filling and delivery.

The position requires 3+ years as a Pharmacy Technician or a Bachelor’s degree, with preference for CPhT certification. Strong MS Office skills and a detail-oriented, confidential approach are essential.

Qualifications

• CPhT certification preferred but not required.
• 3+ years pharmacy tech experience or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams is a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support hospital pharmacy staff to integrate Shields workflows.
• Assist Clinic Liaisons to optimize specialty pharmacy workflows.
• Educate staff on how the specialty model serves patients.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Identify medications requiring special storage or handling.
• Identify supplies needed for medications.
• Triage inbound inquiries and data management.
• Contribute to process improvements and productivity.
