Qualifications

• 3+ years pharmacy tech experience or a Bachelor's degree.
• CPhT certification preferred but not required; must obtain if hired.
• Experience with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support hospital pharmacy staff and Shields Liaisons to integrate specialty workflows.
• Assist clinic-based liaisons to optimize specialty pharmacy workflows.
• Educate staff on the specialty pharmacy model and patient care improvements.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacist or clinician as needed.
• Identify meds needing special storage and handling.
• Identify supplies for medications (sharps, needles, swabs, Band-Aids).
• Triage and respond to inbound inquiries promptly.
• Manage and update data using database applications.
• Apply observations to improvements in productivity, quality, and service.
• Identify trends, resolve issues, and implement changes.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Act as a value-added partner to stakeholders; maintain confidentiality.
• Pursue ongoing education and professional networking.
