Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Pharmacist to lead the store-level pharmacy operations, including prescriptions, inventory, and customer service, while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations. The role involves managing pharmacy staff and programs, and providing clinical services as assigned.

The position requires a PharmD or equivalent, with 2+ years of pharmacist experience and HIPAA knowledge. We offer a robust benefits package and a competitive schedule in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
• Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred
• Two years' pharmacist experience
• Immunization certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA/privacy rules and pharmacy laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Bilingual skills helpful depending on region

Responsibilities

• Oversee store-level pharmacy operations including prescriptions and customer service.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and company policies.
• Process new and refill requests accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain pharmacy records and registries (Poison, narcotics, etc.).
• Manage and implement pharmacy programs (security, immunizations).
• Provide clinical services as assigned.
• Prepare responses to third-party audits as needed.
• Meet or exceed pharmacy operation metrics (profit, sales, payroll).
• Lead and develop pharmacy staff and manage budgeting and goals.
