Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee the store-level pharmacy operations, including prescriptions, inventory, customer service, and regulatory compliance. You will lead the pharmacy team, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.

The role requires a PharmD or eligible with a valid license, strong HIPAA knowledge, and experience in fast-paced retail pharmacy environments. Immunization programs and audits are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
• Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred
• Two years' pharmacist experience
• Pharmacy license in good standing
• Immunization certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA rules and pharmacy laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Leadership and team management skills
• Perpetual inventory knowledge
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Bilingual skills helpful based on region

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations at the store level.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
• Process new and refill prescriptions efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain patient profiles, insurance forms, and pharmacy records.
• Implement pharmacy programs (security, immunizations, etc.).
• Provide clinical care services as assigned.
• Prepare responses to third-party audits.
• Meet or exceed pharmacy operation metrics (Rx counts, profits, payroll).
• Lead, train, and develop pharmacy associates; set goals and budgets.
• Monitor department budgets and knowledge of regulatory changes.
