Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee a high-functioning pharmacy team. You will counsel patients on medication use, manage drug therapies, and ensure accurate dispensing in compliance with state and federal laws.

Responsibilities include monitoring workflow, supervising staff, and driving performance improvements. A current pharmacist license and immunization certification (or plan to obtain) are required, with at least 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, compliance, and insurance billing.

Responsibilities

Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and OTC options.
Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications in accordance with laws and policies.
Ensures regulatory compliance and oversees pharmacy workflow, scheduling, and staff coordination.
Oversees staff development, training, and formal performance reviews.
