Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD and active pharmacist licensure in applicable states.
• Immunizer certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience with prescription dispensing, billing, and compliance.
• Strong leadership and staff development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medication usage, interactions, side effects, and OTC options.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and med management.
• Review and dispense prescribed meds in compliance with laws and policies.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, scheduling, roles, and shift changes.
• Uphold Good Faith Dispensing and state/federal controlled substances rules.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to identify strategic opportunities.
• Maintain pharmacy IT systems, inventory, and workflow improvements.
• Resolve insurance claims, payer issues, and conduct third-party audits.
• Communicate with providers about dosages, refills, and allergies.
• Provide immunizations and clinical wellness services as appropriate.
