Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Wooster, OH, seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring safe dispensing, staff development, and adherence to policies and laws.

You will hire, train, and evaluate technicians, manage inventory and financial performance, and drive clinical services and patient safety in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures.
• Understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates in.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implement and execute pharmacy programs including financial results and services.
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Hold team members accountable for results and grow the pharmacy business.
• Demonstrate leadership and adherence to Meijer policies and laws.
• Perform clinical services where allowed, including immunizations.
• Communicate effectively and prioritize workload.
