Job summary

Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary Pharmacy Manager directs daily operations of pharmacy services across main campus and satellite locations, serving as the Manager of Record. They collaborate with MGH and MGB pharmacy leaders to ensure compliant, efficient pharmacy services and financial stewardship.

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Operations, the role oversees a 25–30 FTE team of technical and professional staff, guiding policy development, staff recruitment, and training while driving quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in lieu of a degree not accepted.
• Pharmacist license required in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily operations of pharmacy services and staff scheduling.
• Serves as a resource on pharmacy policies to pharmacists, physicians, nurses and other hospital staff.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities as assigned.
• Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation; oversees recruitment and training.
• Participates in policy and procedure development and staff education.
• Conducts educational programs, in-services and staff meetings.
