Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment in Louisville, KY. You will supervise daily operations, ensure accurate dispensing, oversee clinical and preventive services, and drive patient engagement and safety.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, managing inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with store leadership to optimize outcomes and experience for our customers and communities.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate knowledge of state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy considerations; refer to medical provider as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow; oversees staffing, scheduling, and shift changes.
• Maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and supports staff with technology; improves productivity.
• Analyzes pharmacy performance data and manages inventory and asset protection.
