Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to provide empathetic pharmacy consulting, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcome services. You will ensure compliant dispensing, manage workflow and inventory, and drive performance while developing staff.

Collaboration with store leadership to expand health services is required. The role requires a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD and current licensure in applicable states; immunizer certification or willingness within 90 days is expected;

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree or Pharm D required.
• Current pharmacist license in states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, operations, and insurance billing.
• Experience with pharmacy software and technology systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients to ensure a positive experience and address questions about medications and services.
• Counsel on usage, interactions, and OTC options; refer to medical providers as needed.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies; manage staff scheduling and workflow.
• Lead training and performance reviews; develop staff and maintain high engagement.
• Support immunizations, diagnostic testing, and other clinical services; manage IT for pharmacy systems.
• Analyze pharmacy performance data and drive improvements in financials and inventory.
• Build relationships with local medical community and promote health services.
