Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee inpatient pharmacy operations, staff assignments, and inventory control. You will participate in CQI initiatives, interview candidates, and coordinate scheduling and payroll while ensuring high-quality patient care.

The position requires pharmacist licensure in Virginia, hospital pharmacy experience, and leadership capabilities to manage staff and interdisciplinary teams in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Required – Prior experience as a pharmacist; new graduates must have gained pharmacy experience as an intern/extern.
• Licensed in good standing as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Preferred – Prior hospital pharmacy and pharmacy management experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services of the inpatient pharmacy.
• Make assignments within job description for specific staff classifications.
• Monitor and manage drug and supply inventory.
• Monitor and manage controlled substance inventory.
• Monitor and document staff performance; administer appraisals.
• Participate in CQI initiatives.
• Implement directives regarding policy, procedure, program and system additions or revisions.
• Participate in interview process for potential hires and convey recommendations to the Director of Pharmacy.
• Represent Pharmacy on interdisciplinary committees.
• Perform in a staff distributive and/or clinical role as required.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff, patients and healthcare team.
• Directs and coordinates scheduling and payroll.

What qualifications you will need:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required – Prior experience as a pharmacist. New graduates required to have gained pharmacy experience as an intern/extern

EDUCATION
