Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring all activities comply with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to optimize pharmacy operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Collaborate with other department managers to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance patient care.
• Maintain accurate records of all pharmacy transactions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular audits of pharmacy financial operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts to secure competitive prices and terms.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the pharmacy and finance industries, implementing innovative strategies to drive growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Pharmacist with a valid license to practice.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy management, preferably in the Accounting and Finance industry.
• Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Excellent knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and use it to drive strategic decisions.
• Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favorable contracts with suppliers and vendors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy management software.
