Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Holden, MA, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support benefit investigations, submit prior authorizations, and document activities in the patient chart. Under supervision, you will collaborate with the clinic team to ensure timely medication access.

The role requires MA Board of Pharmacy licensure, PTCB/ExCPT certification (or eligibility), and at least 1 year of related experience. A signing bonus may be offered based on interview outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy license required.
• National certification (PTCB/ExCPT) or eligibility.
• If not certified, must obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete benefit investigations and document results in EMR.
• Submit prior authorizations via multiple channels (online/phone).
• Conduct follow-up on insurance decisions and rejections.
• Inform providers and patients about manufacturer savings options.
• Coordinate prescription delivery with Home Delivery Pharmacy.
