Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and patient outreach. The role requires MA licensure and national certification, with a pathway to certification if needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proficiency in math and ability to use a computer.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with accuracy and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Performs benefit investigations and documents results in patient records.
• Submits prior authorizations to insurance and follows up on decisions.
• Provides information on patient savings opportunities to providers and patients.
• Makes follow-up calls to patients regarding insurance decisions and prescription status.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates prescription delivery with Home Delivery pharmacy.
