Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacist leader to plan, direct and supervise daily pharmacy operations. The role encompasses staffing, performance reviews, patient safety and program implementation to improve profitability and service quality.

The candidate will oversee clinical services, immunizations where allowed, and ensures adherence to corporate policies and state/federal regulations. A Doctorate of Pharmacy with active licensure and retail experience is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• CPR Certification and license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Staffing and hiring to meet needs.
• Conduct performance reviews for pharmacists and techs.
• Fills prescriptions accurately and safely.
• Manage pharmacy programs, including finances, labor, inventory and profitability.
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians.
• Lead and develop the team to grow the pharmacy business.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Oversee immunization administration where allowed.
