Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is seeking a pharmacist leader to staff, hire, and develop a high-performing pharmacy team. The role includes dispensing medications, implementing programs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

You will mentor pharmacists and technicians, drive profitability and clinical services, and uphold Meijer's policies while expanding the pharmacy business. This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to community health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• 1 year CPR Certification and Pharmacist registration in state of practice.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conducts performance reviews for pharmacists and technicians.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions.
• Fills prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implements pharmacy programs including clinical services, labor, inventory, and profitability.
• Educates and mentors staff to be effective team members.
• Leads and grows the pharmacy business with a vision for expansion.
• Ensures compliance with Meijer Policies and state/federal laws.
