Job summary

Meijer is seeking a pharmacist to fill prescriptions safely, educate and mentor technicians, and maintain outstanding patient relationships. You will lead operations when the pharmacist in charge is away and drive immunization services where allowed.

Ideal candidates hold a PharmD or BS degree, are licensed in the state, and certified in immunizations. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in a busy, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and drive growth of the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Operate in accordance with Meijer Policies and Procedures and governing laws.
• Communicate effectively and drive positive change.
• Stay organized and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs; provide customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations where allowed.
