Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.
• An average leadership rating of at least 3.0 on the last performance review, with no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (Internal candidates only).

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, contraindications, privacy, generics, cost, and OTC products.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications while adhering to regulations.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, staffing, and opening/closing changes, ensuring efficient operation.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing practices in accordance with controlled substance laws.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to define new strategic business opportunities.
• Maintains IT knowledge of pharmacy systems, inventory management, and POS, and supports staff with IT issues.
