Job summary

Meijer in Kentucky is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, hire staff, oversee prescription filling, and ensure patient safety and compliance with policies.

You will mentor pharmacists and technicians, conduct performance reviews, implement pharmacy programs, manage inventory and profitability, and deliver friendly service. The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy, active KY pharmacist license, CPR certification, and retail leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Execute pharmacy programs including financial results and inventory.
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and technicians.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Oversee clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
• Communicate effectively and prioritize workload.
