Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Inventory Controller to manage procurement and stock for retail and specialty pharmacies. You will optimize PAR levels, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with federal/state laws while maintaining precise records and handling recalls.

You will lead semi-annual inventory counts, support financial reporting, and oversee pharmacy automation, requiring strong software skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician certification (Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy).
• 1-3 years related work experience in Medical field.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Receives order to ensure separation of duties and matches purchase orders with packing slips.
• Conducts semi-annual inventory tally in cooperation with Pharmacy Manager.
• Oversees physical inventories with Internal Audit and Finance.
• Ensures drugs and supplies are properly ordered, received, stored, secured and documented.
• Maintains and loads pharmacy automation for retail operations.
• Uses pharmacy software to optimize inventory PAR levels and forecast purchasing needs.
• Coordinates orders with distributors, wholesalers, GPOs, dropship and manufacturers.
• Works with finance to provide accruals, inventory counts, cross charges, and reports.
• Oversees recalls for retail and specialty pharmacies.
• Manages CSOS or online ordering for retail pharmacy.
