Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Inventory Controller to facilitate procurement of medicines and supplies while ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness for retail and specialty pharmacies.

The role includes maintaining accurate records, reconciling invoices, ensuring timely payments, and managing return-to-stock processes. It also covers stocking and maintaining pharmacy automation and inventory optimization using our pharmacy software.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician certification/license required.
• 1–3 years related work experience in a medical field.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsabilidades

• Receive orders and verify POs against packing slips to ensure accuracy and escalate discrepancies with distributors/manufacturers.
• Lead semi-annual inventory tallies with Pharmacy Manager and cover scheduled/unscheduled time off as needed.
• Oversee physical inventories with Internal Audit and Finance departments.
• Order, receive, store, secure, and maintain drugs and supplies per standards and manufacturer guidelines; ensure proper pedigree per laws.
• Load and maintain pharmacy automation for retail operations.
• Use pharmacy software to optimize PAR levels, forecast purchasing needs, and manage slow movers, backorders, returns, and shrinkage.
• Coordinate with vendors and wholesalers to place orders via wholesalers, GPO, dropship, 340B, or manufacturer designee.
• Collaborate with Finance to provide accruals, perform end-of-month counts, cross charges, and generate department financial reports.
• Oversee recalls for drugs and products in retail and specialty pharmacies.
• Assist with weekly and biennial controlled substances inventory; oversee CSOS ordering; perform other duties as assigned.
