Job summary

SelectQuote Insurance Services is seeking a Pharmacy Inventory Technician to receive and maintain drug inventory, ensure accurate records, and support pharmacy operations. The role emphasizes careful inventory control, adherence to policies, and collaboration with management.

The position requires strong attention to detail, 1+ year in inventory control or pharmacy tech work, and familiarity with a computerized inventory system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory control or as a pharmacy tech required.
• 3 years of experience in inventory control preferred.
• Direct experience in retail mail order or specialty pharmacy as a pharmacy technician is a plus.
• Knowledge of standard medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods and check against purchasing records; enter receipts, returns and distributions.
• Coordinate with operations to support business needs and provide assistance.
• Stock inventory on shelves daily as orders arrive.
• Review inventory for expired/damaged/overstocked meds and coordinate disposal or returns.
• Maintain accuracy of inventory records; perform cycle counts and investigate variances.
• Conduct periodic physical inventories per management standards.
• Prepare department for physical inventory; update shelf locations and labels.
