Job summary

You will support the Pharmacy Clerk, help manage inventory with vendors, and provide back-up coverage at the counter. Responsibilities include handling refill requests, coordinating with prescribers, keeping the pharmacy neat, and assisting with end-of-month procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Tech program is required.
• Pharmacy certification is required.
• Two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida.
• State certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with prescription processing by entering patient, prescription, and insurance data into the computer.
• Consult the pharmacist on matters requiring guidance.
• Back up the Pharmacy Clerk and help check in orders and shelving.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to maintain inventory and process invoices.
• Handle refill requests from patients by phone and coordinate with prescribers.
• Support end-of-month procedures and reporting to accounting.
