Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator to manage hospital pharmacy inventory and support ordering of medications and medical/surgical supplies. Under a licensed pharmacist, you will participate in daily inventory tasks and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualified candidates hold a High School diploma, WV Technician Registration, and CPhT certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• West Virginia Technician Registration is required.
• CPhT (National Technician Certification) is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital pharmacy inventory across drug and supply areas.
• Assist with ordering medications and delegation of medical/surgical supplies.
• Operate under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, participating in inventory management activities.
• Set PAR levels of medications in cooperation with Pyxis Analyst and Pharmacy leadership.

Job description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator.

The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator, maintains the inventory of drugs and delegates the medical/surgical supplies for the Hospital pharmacy areas. This position is accountable for managing the day to day activities of the pharmacy staff that are involved with ordering drugs and delegation of medical/surgical supplies. This position, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will participate in all activities of the pharmacy department that involve the inventory management of drugs. The position functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. This position is responsible for all medications being purchased on the correct account when the order is split to WAC, GPO and 340B. Additionally, this position is responsible for setting PAR levels of all medications within the department, working with the Pyxis Analyst and Assistant Director of Pharmacy to do so. All registrations and licenses required for this position must be kept current at all times/ renewed prior to expiration.

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• West Virginia Technician Registration required.
• CPhT (National Technician Certification) required.
• 2 years of position-related experience preferred.
  • The kind of position-related experience includes: progressive healthcare experience in an acute care setting. Responsibility for purchasing medications and managing inventory in a 340B eligible entity is preferred.
