Job summary

Mercy Health in Kings Mills is seeking a Pharmacy Services Materials Coordinator to compile, prepare, and generate purchase orders ensuring a continuous supply of pharmaceutical products. Qualifications

• Possess and maintain registration or licensing as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment.
• Current certification/licensing required; if not, obtain within 12 months.
• CPhT (preferred)
• 2 years of pharmacy field or materials management experience (required)

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with system and local pharmacy teams to ensure standard ordering and approval processes are achieved and maintained for pharmacy purchases.
• Works with authorizing pharmacist to complete controlled substances orders in CSOS and on DEA 222 forms with proper documentation.
• Provides oversight to ensure accurate perpetual inventory management and compliance.
• Monitors outdated items and processes returns accordingly.
• Coordinates annual/other required physical inventory procedures.
• Coordinates with accounts payable for timely invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Aligns purchases to system contracts, programs, and initiatives.
• Partners with pharmacy teams to plan around current drug shortages.
• Processes and authorizes payment for invoices for merchandise received or credited.
• Manages inventory documentation for DSCSA and 340b compliance.
• Guides waste and charge discrepancy tracking; assists day-to-day operations.
