Job summary

Children’s National Medical Center seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to monitor and reconcile inventory, assist with purchasing, and maintain accurate on-hand data. You will support receiving, data reporting, and day-to-day inventory operations within a busy hospital setting.

The role requires strong Excel/Word skills, experience with ERP systems, and at least 2 years of related experience. The position offers a stable work environment with competitive benefits in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

  • Basic to moderate proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with Peoplesoft ERP system.
  • 2 years related experience (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and maintain accurate on hand inventory balances; adjust on hand balances accordingly.
  • Assist with data entry process.
  • Assist inventory Buyer place orders and resolve purchasing discrepancies.
  • Reconcile quantity on hand and unit of measure discrepancies.
  • Oversee and ensure day-to-day inventory transactions are current and accurate.
  • Maintain smooth day-to-day inventory systems operations.
