Job summary

Kroger in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician with strong customer service and regulatory compliance skills. The role supports pharmacists, performs essential tasks, and trains technicians while ensuring HIPAA and safety standards are followed.

You will work on-site in a fast-paced retail pharmacy, assist with MTM services, and participate in safety programs and daily operational tasks as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred and customer-service oriented.
• Enrolled in a pharmacy program or certification pathway.
• Current CPR certification and state intern registration where required.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety regulations per health codes; report unsafe conditions.
• Act as pharmacy safety SME and coach for accuracy.
• Support workflow and pharmacist oversight through shift leadership.
• Lead by example to meet department standards.
• Assist pharmacist in duties not requiring professional judgment.
• Possess ability for Pharmacy Technician responsibilities as needed.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies.
• Support Health and Wellness initiatives.
• Maintain current state/national registrations or licenses.
• Provide training support for pharmacy associates and mentor technicians.
• Represent store meetings/huddles when needed.
• Comply with regulations; report illegal activity.
• Handle EFT, cash, and card transactions; manage relevant guidelines.
• Enter patient data accurately; perform PFAs; assist MTM services.
• Reinforce safety programs and supervise equipment maintenance.
