Job summary

Kroger in Indiana is seeking a diligent pharmacy clerk to support pharmacists and deliver excellent customer service. You will assist with reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing while maintaining a safe, ethical, and compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.
• Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy clerk role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Comply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation and safety regulations and programs; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Follow guidelines on controlled substances, inventory, and product dispensing under supervision.
• Maintain clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas.
• Handle cashier duties, including tendering cash, cards and vouchers.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while performing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgement.
• Adhere to HIPAA and company policies regarding patient information.
• Support health and wellness initiatives and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform reception tasks and data entry with accuracy.
