Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician student intern to join the Center for Advanced Medicine. Under staff pharmacists, you will assist with physician order processing, dispensing medications, transporting supplies and maintaining records.

The role includes preparing unit-dose meds for IV/OR, delivering IV solutions, and maintaining a clean, stocked work area. Ideal candidates are pursuing a PharmD and hold Pharmacist Intern status.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy student pursuing Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacist Intern status required.
• 2-5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurately prepared orders of pharmaceutical supplies by properly assembling orders and requisitions with the correct products.
• Provides accurately prepared sterile preparations by properly following procedures.
• Maintains quality assurance standards and maintenance of required documentation.
• Delivers IV solutions and medications to nursing divisions and ancillary departments.
• Maintains a clean, orderly and sufficiently stocked work area.
