Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a pharmacy technician to accurately process dispensing requests, prepare medications for review, and deliver them to nursing units. You will support sterile compounding, chemotherapy handling, and regulatory tasks while collaborating with pharmacists and the healthcare team to ensure safe, timely medication delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests and prepares meds for pharmacist review.
• Delivers checked medications to nursing units and returns unused or expired meds.
• Maintains skills in dispensing, compounding, hospital systems, and patient education.
• Supports medication safety, quality improvement and stewardship programs.
• Assists pharmacists with regulatory tasks, sterile compounding, and hazardous material handling.
• Works with healthcare team to ensure timely, safe medication availability.
