Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, packaging, and distribution under supervision. You will work with unit-dose processes, IV admixtures where trained, and support medication reconciliation and workflow in a busy hospital pharmacy.

Responsibilities include operating Epic RX and other pharmacy systems, communicating with care teams, and helping maintain a safe, organized department.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Handle unit dose packaging, stocking and order entry.
• Operate and understand pharmacy computer systems (Epic RX, EMar, orders).
• Communicate with healthcare professionals using medical terminology.
• Assist with narcotic inventory and safe handling of controlled substances.
• Assist technicians and pharmacists and maintain department safety and cleanliness.
