Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support retail pharmacy teams, gaining hands-on experience under licensed pharmacists. You’ll follow SOPs, assist with prescription fulfillment, immunizations, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance while advancing clinical and technical knowledge.

This third-year internship focuses on learning, teamwork, and professional growth within a store network.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients and provide information on vaccines and services as supervised by a pharmacist.
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions when allowed by state regulation.
• Support inventory activities, including receiving deliveries and cycle counts.
• Contribute to a high-performing team and participate in training and coaching.
• Maintain compliance with laws, policies, and patient privacy requirements.
