Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in CVS locations, helping deliver patient care and learn under supervision. You will assist with prescriptions, immunizations, and customer service while preparing for increased responsibility in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, teamwork, and professional development within our comprehensive benefit program and schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians with patient health.
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
Provide empathetic patient interactions and support immunizations and services at the register or over the phone.
Counsel patients and obtain relevant medical history when appropriate under supervision.
Assist with telephonic prescriptions, clarifications, and communication with prescribers when allowed by state law.
Mentor team members, support training, and share best practices.
Perform basic inventory activities and ensure proper handling of medications.
Support a high-performing, growth-minded team and adapt to scheduling needs.
