Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy teams in CVS locations. The intern will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, emphasize patient safety, and collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment and quality patient care.

You will gain exposure to immunizations, patient counseling, and on-the-job practice within a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment, while progressing toward greater responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy is required or actively enrolled.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on KLEs and pharmacy operations.
• Assist pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients, answer questions, and collect necessary medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Support immunizations and other pharmacist services where allowed by state law and training.
• Participate in inventory activities and maintain records for patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Adapt to scheduling needs and travel to stores in the market as required.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies.
