Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in delivering patient-centered care across CVS locations. The role emphasizes safe prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, and adherence to SOPs under pharmacist supervision.

Interns will assist with immunizations, telephonic prescriptions, and inventory tasks while developing clinical and technical skills for increasing responsibilities within a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Required to be enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians with patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients and answer medical questions under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions where allowed by state regulation.
• Assist with inventory activities and maintain medication deliveries and cycle counts.
