Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, prescription processing, and clinical services. You will interact with patients in person and by phone, assist with product selection, and help with third‑party billing and inventory management.

The role requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program and a state‑specific intern license, plus a proactive, dependable attitude and strong communication skills for patient care and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Customer service.
• Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assisting patients with product selection; obtaining medication prices.
• Processing and filling prescriptions.
• Using pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry and third party adjudication; pulling products from shelf; counting and labeling prescriptions.
• Third-party functions.
• Inventory management.
• Updating balance on hand; product ordering; Meijer codes lookup; processing vendor charge backs/transfers/salvage.
• Clinical services.
