Meijer Inc. in Fishers, Indiana, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, prescription processing, and clinical services under supervision. You'll work with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate dispensing, third-party adjudication, and inventory management.

You'll engage with patients in person and by phone, learn MTM platforms, and stay current with state-specific intern licensure requirements while delivering excellent patient care and confidentiality.

• Knowledge of brand/generic medication names; knowledge of applicable medical/pharmacy terminology; knowledge about various dosage forms; ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations.
• Knowledge of MP6.

Responsibilities

• Customer service.
• Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assisting patients with product selection; obtaining medication prices pursuant to patient requests.
• Processing and filling prescriptions using pharmacy computer system; data entry and third party adjudication; labeling; Will Call.
• Third‑party functions.
• Inventory management: updating balance on hand; product ordering; checking‑in and putting away orders; processing vendor charge backs/ transfers/ salvage.
• Clinical services. May perform other duties as assigned or required.
