Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain PharmD from an accredited educational institution.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; guides to cost-effective options.
• Performs dispensing tasks including compounding, drug reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflows; assists with opening/closing and shift changes.
• Upholds Good Faith Dispensing and state/federal drug laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintains pharmacy systems knowledge and proposes enhancements.
• Processes insurance claims and coordinates with providers to avoid denials.
• Discusses dosages, refills, allergies, and alternative meds with providers.
• Provides immunizations, wellness services, and health education.
• Analyzes performance data and collaborates with management on inventory and assets.
• Builds relationships with local medical community and conducts outreach.
• Collaborates with Central Pharmacy Operations on customer registration and 3rd party reviews.
