Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a Pharmacist Intern to engage in post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision and provide customer-focused medication counseling and immunization services. You will support compounding, dispensing, drug interaction reviews, and regulatory compliance while assisting in pharmacy workflow and inventory management.

The role emphasizes adherence to Good Faith dispensing, insurance processing, and collaboration with physicians and healthcare providers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required? (Note – If you live in a state that does NOT require an Intern permit/certificate, response is "yes")
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 45 days of completion of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients regarding usage of medications, proper dispensing, and drug interactions.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications and ensures regulatory compliance and accuracy.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports inventory management and customer experience.
• Supports opening/closing duties and assists in staff training and performance management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States
