Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a pharmacist intern to engage in post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision. You will provide customer counseling on medication usage, interactions and preventive care such as immunizations, while supporting accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance.

The role includes assisting the pharmacy manager with workflow optimization, inventory management, and enhancing customer experience at Walgreens locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• FPGEC (Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Certificate).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective State Board of Pharmacy.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours completion.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions and refer to providers as needed.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management tasks.
• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and review for workload balance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, company policies and standards for dispensing.
• Assist with pharmacy workflow, asset protection, inventory management and KPI review.
