Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting and ensure proper dispensation while delivering preventive health services, including immunizations. You will work within regulatory guidelines and Walgreens policies to support efficient pharmacy operations and patient care.

The role involves counseling patients, medication management, and contributing to immunization programs and diabetes awareness.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the states within the district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy; refers to medical provider as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy compliance with regulations and company policies; supports opening/closing and shift changes.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET) and proposes system enhancements.
