Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist to provide expert medication consulting, immunizations, and health services within regulatory guidelines. The role emphasizes patient counseling, accuracy in dispensing, and collaboration with the pharmacy team.

You will support workflow, inventory, and customer experience while ensuring compliance and quality care in a busy retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

PharmD degree from an accredited institution and eligibility for pharmacist licensure.
Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in the applicable states within the district within 90 days of hire.
Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Engages customers with a positive experience and provides product/service assistance.
Counsels patients on proper medication use, side effects, interactions, and safety.
Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
Maintains pharmacy operations compliant with regulations and company policies; supports workflow and inventory management.
Supports insurance processing, provider communication, and third‑party audits as needed.
Delivers immunization and wellness services and engages with the community to promote health.
