Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance in North Carolina seeks a post-graduate pharmacy associate to work under licensed pharmacist supervision, fulfilling state board requirements and providing medication consultations.

You will perform compounding, dispensing, review and verification of prescriptions, support pharmacy operations, optimize workflow, and assist in patient care services including immunizations and medication management, while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and FPGEC or equivalent.
• Intern permit/certificate required for licensure in the states within the district.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects and interactions; ensures medication safety.
• Performs dispensing, compounding and drug therapy reviews under supervision.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and supports pharmacy workflow and asset protection.
• Handles insurance claims and follow-ups to prevent payment rejections.
• Participates in community health activities and professional development.
