Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking an intern pharmacist to perform post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision. You will counsel customers on medications, monitor drug interactions, and contribute to immunization and preventive health services.

Under supervision, you will assist in compounding, dispensing, and drug reviews while ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient pharmacy workflow. Eligibility for immunization and timely licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited University outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC) required or pursued.
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective State Board of Pharmacy, if required.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours completion.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, interactions, and safety under supervisor.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and management.
• Dispenses prescribed medications accurately while adhering to regulations and policies.
• Supports pharmacy operations, inventory, and customer experience; helps open/close and shift changes.
• Conducts immunizations and preventive health services as part of patient care.
