Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient information privacy, generics, less expensive medicines, OTC products.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management; reviews and dispenses prescribed medications as workload permits.
• Ensures the pharmacy complies with regulations, policies, and standards; assists in establishing efficient workflow and shifts.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements to support staff and customers.
• Performs immunizations and preventive healthcare services such as flu shots and diabetes awareness.
